Day 2 Arrive Beijing
Arrive Beijing, the capital of China. You will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.Canadian tour escort is from Vancouver.
Day 3 Beijing
After breakfast, visit Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world - the square and its periphery are home to some of China's most important monuments and government edifices. Then, tour the adjacent Forbidden City, the largest existing ancient architectural complex in China. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace - an enchanting panorama of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions. In the evening, you will enjoy a Beijing Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D) |

Day 4 Beijing
After breakfast, take a walk on the Great Wall, which winds dragon-like across northern China. After lunch visit Changling , the tomb of Emperor Yongle - one of the Ming Tombs at the burial site of thirteen Ming Dynasty Emperors. If time permits, you will visit a cloisonne production factory. This evening enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner. A Beijing Night Tour will be arranged. (B/L/SD)
Day 5 Beijing
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven . Then embark on a bicycle rickshaw tour around the ancient alleyways of a Beijing Hutong - one of Beijing's rapidly vanishing 700 year-old traditional cottage neighborhoods. Visit a family in one of the “Quadrangles”. You'll be treated to a Dumpling Lunch at the home of one of the local families ! Later, head to Wangfujing and Silk Alley for shopping. (B/SL/D)
Day 6 Beijing / Urumqi

Day 7 Urumqi / Tianchi / Urumqi
Today visit Tianchi (Heaven Lake), one of Xinjiang’s most famous scenic spots, about halfway up the iceclad Bogda Mountain at 1980m (6,500ft) above sea level. You will also visit Hongshan Park and Urumqi Museum. Tonight enjoy Urumqi Cuisine – Roast Lamb Dinner. (B/L/SD)
Day 8 Urumqi / Turpan
Take a morning coach ride to the town of Turpan near the Turpan Depression – lowest point in China and the second-lowest point in the world. Turpan was the capital of the 2nd century state which brought Buddhism from India to China. Now mostly Moslem, Turpan features desert ruins, mosques, Buddhist caves and Tang Dynasty tombs. Your full day tour takes you to the Flaming Mountains, the Gaochang Ruins – the crumbling remnants of the 9th Century Uighur Empire, and the Astana Tombs. Day 9 Turpan / Dunhuang
After Breakfast, visit Grape Valley, Jiaohe Ruins. Afterwards, take an overnight train to Dunhuang. (B/L/D)

Day 10 Dunhuang
In the morning your train will arrive Dunhuang - an oasis in the immense Gobi Desert. Dunhuang was one of ancient China’s most important trading posts. You’ll visit the sand dunes known as Mingsha Hill (Roaring Sands Hill). Afterwards visit Crescent Moon Spring - a crescent-shaped lake that somehow survives among the moving sand dunes. Later, you will return to town and visit the Dunhuang Museum. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Dunhuang
You will spend most of today to explore the famous Mogao Grottoes that were constructed around 366 A.D. The 492 surviving grottoes are lined with Buddhist carvings, gilt and frescos. In the afternoon, you will visit the ruins of Yangguan Pass (Jade Gate) (B/L/D) |

Day 12 Dunhuang / Jiayuguan / Lanzhou
You will take a morning coach ride through the Gobi Desert to Jiayuguan – the most magnificent and best preserved pass of the over one thousand passes along the Ming Great Wall. Visit Jiayuguan Fort – which marks the western end of the Great Wall on the edge of the desert, and the Wei Dynasty Tombs from the 6th century. Later, take an overnight train ride to Lanzhou. (B/L/D)

Day 13 Lanzhou
In the morning, your train will arrive Lanzhou. Visit Liu Jiao Gorge, Bin lin Temple, White Pagoda Park and the Yellow River Water Wheels. Tonight enjoy a special dinner of Beef Noodles. (B/L/SD)
Day 14 Lanzhou / Xian
Take a flight to Xi’an - one of China’s ancient capitals. After lunch, visit the Ming Dynasty City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening, you will enjoy a Xi’an Special Dumpling Banquet while being entertained by a colourful Tang Dynasty Show. (B/L/SD)
Day 15 Xi'an
Full day tour of Xi'an. First, visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum. Continue on to explore Banpo Neolithic Village, where the relics of a prehistoric settlement of the New Stone Age (over 6,000 years ago) were found. Then view one of the most exciting archaeological finds of the 20th Century - the excavation of more than 6,000 Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, and the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses reproduction factory. A Western Dinner is served tonight and a Xi'an Night Tour will be arranged. (B/L/WD) |

Day 16 Xi’an / Shanghai
Today you fl y off to bustling Shanghai, China’s largest city and seaport. After dinner, enjoy a Huangpu River Night Cruise. (B/L/D)
Day 17 Shanghai
Today's Shanghai city tour takes you to the People's Square, Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Yuan Garden, and Shanghai's famous riverside promenade “The Bund”. Afterwards, tour the ultra-modern Pudong Development Zone and get a closer look at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Visit a Shanghai Silk Factory. Tonight you will enjoy a Shanghai Farewell Dinner. Today is free for you to explore Shanghai on your own. Lunch and Dinner by your own arrangement. (B)
Day 19 Shanghai / Hometown
